Held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, and organised by the Dubai Camel Racing Club, the 12-day festival will see thousands of highly-trained camels from all over the Middle East of different ages and breeds compete in rounds to win their owners' jaw-dropping cash prizes and other highly-priced prizes. 

According to the organisers, it is a traditional festival that all Emiratis as well as expatriates should come watch and experience. There will be full-day activities with a lot of side shows, based both on the country's cultural traditions and folklore. 

Races will take place daily from 7am to 10am and from 2pm to 5pm.
